LeBron Raymone James Sr. born on December 30, 1984, is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers (NBA). King James, he's widely considered to be the most successful basketball player ever and is often compared Michael Jordan during debates about the greatest basketballer ever. James has been the recipient of four NBA Championships, Four NBA MVP Awards and Four NBA Finals MVP Awards and three All-Star MVP Awards. He also has 2 Olympic Gold Medals. James has scored more points in the playoffs. He has the second highest number of career points, and is seventh in career assists. James is part of the NBA All-Stars, 18 All-NBA Teams and Five NBA All-Defensive First Team selections. The third most amount of NBA Finals ever was ten, with eight being consecutive between 2011-2018. James made part of the NBA 75th Anniversary Team in 2021. In 2022, James became one of the few NBA player to earn 10,000 career points. James was a basketball player at St. Vincent St. Mary High School, which is located in his home town in Akron Ohio and was heavily touted by the national media as a potential NBA star. He was a pro-prep player and was selected as the highest selection by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Draft of 2003. In 2004 he was named NBA Rookie. He soon became one of league's top players and was awarded the NBA MVP in both the years 2009 and 2010. James was a free agency in 2010 after failing to secure championships for Cleveland. The decision to quit Cleveland for Miami Heat, announced on The Decision, a popular television show The Decision, is considered as one of the most controversial free-agent actions in sports history.
